Acupuncture is very effective at relieving most types of pain including acute or chronic pain.

Pain is the body’s way of telling us something is wrong – but when it is ceaseless and unending, it can affect our mood, personality, work, relationships, and even our mental health.

Western medicine is very effective at targeting many types of pain, but sometimes patients do not want to experience the side-effects of prescription drugs, or sometimes the drugs just don’t work. Sometimes tests to find out what’s causing the pain can come back negative, which adds more frustration.

Acupuncture can help. It may take one session, or more likely, multiple sessions, but the patient should feel relief from the first session. As treatment progresses, the sessions may spread out, and patients book a session for a “top-up”.

Acupuncture Theory gives the practitioner many solutions to attack the problem, and you could think if it like combining multiple types of drugs to deliver a tailored, personal solution for you.
